In the face of a global biodiversity crisis and unprecedented climate change, our project advocates for the creation of vibrant, biodiverse-rich healthy landscapes, by breaking down barriers posed by municipal bylaws, to protect and support biodiversity on private and public lands across our cities.

Since 2021, our research has grown over a series of component projects, the development of public resources to advise both municipal staff and community members, and (most recently) a national call to action in partnership with the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects, the Canadian Wildlife Federation, the David Suzuki Foundation, and renowned author Lorraine Johnson.
