2021 Winner of the Margolese Prize: Nina-Marie Lister

EDL founder, Professor, and Graduate Director Nina-Marie Lister has been selected as the recipient of the 2021 Margolese National Design for Living Prize.

Offered through the University of British Columbia School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, the Margolese Prize is awarded to an inspirational Canadian citizen who engages in design aimed at improving the built environment.

Professor Lister was selected by an esteemed professional jury, as a remarkable inspiration to the next generation of design practitioners whose work is positively impacting the future of our planet by working to address the multitude of pressing human and environmental challenges across our landscapes.

In practice, Professor Lister engages in transdisciplinary research on (re)connecting landscapes, people and wildlife, changing the way we think about the wild and reshaping the way that urban designers, planners, and landscape architects alike engage with the complexities of ecology in design.
